The captivating mountainous retreat of Mijas Costa is seen as the typical white-washed village and is one of the jewel of the Costa del Sol. The enchanting village nestles in the Sierra de Mijas mountain range and is a spectacular scene for tourists to visit because of its narrow winding streets and breath-taking views of the coast. Mijas is the perfect destination to be able to find out the history of the Costa del Sol as it is home to several highly decorative churches and is one of the best preserved areas, enabling tourists to view the skilful work of the Moors. Mijas hosts many traditional “fiestas” such as the “Noche de San Juan” where you are able to watch the spectacles performed by the talented flamenco dancers of the area. Moreover, Mijas is known for the donkey rides, which allow romantic couples to enjoy a trip in a carriage, however if being amongst the mountains is not what you enjoy, then the beach of Mijas, called La Cala de Mijas is only a five minute trip down the road!
